Building strength and athletic movement for tennis, with a travel schedule that kept breaking her consistency.
Strength
Athletic performance

The starting point
Cristina wanted to build muscle and get genuinely strong. She travels frequently, and every trip broke the thread — a good month followed by a week away, then the slow work of getting back to where she had been.
She also wanted to add athletic movement to improve her tennis, and had no idea where to start. Nobody had ever shown her how strength work in the gym connects to what happens in a rally.
What she asked for specifically was 1:1 time — enough coached contact to feel confident lifting heavy and moving correctly, rather than approximating it from a video.

The approach
Hybrid coaching, built to her preferences and pointed at athletic movement — so the weeks away stopped costing her progress.
Training
Heavy compound lifts as the base — the in-person sessions are where the load goes up, because that is where the coaching is.
The program was written around movements she likes doing. That sounds soft, and it is the reason she is still doing it.
Athletic movement
Tennis is repeated bursts with almost no recovery between them. Training for it means building tolerance for exactly that.
Plyometrics and agility, kept light
Light plyometric and agility drills paired with the heavy lifts build the ability to work hard, recover briefly, and go again. Kept light on purpose — the goal is court transfer and repeatability, not adding another source of fatigue to manage.
Programming around travel
The remote half of the hybrid exists for one reason: the weeks she is not here.
Dumbbell-only sessions
Travel weeks are programmed as dumbbell-only sessions — written in advance, assuming a hotel gym and nothing else. She maintains training volume away from the gym instead of losing the thread and rebuilding on return.
Where she is now
Travel stopped being the thing that interrupts training.
Strength
Real confidence under heavy loads, and noticeable lean muscle gained.
On court
Faster laterally, and quicker to recover between matches.
Endurance
Holds up through long, high-intensity rallies instead of fading out of them.
Consistency
Training volume held through travel weeks, not surrendered to them.
Cristina is still training on the hybrid package, still travelling, and still adding load.
The result
A schedule that no longer decides how strong she gets.
Ready when you are
